While Mark was busy dating his cake I was making a small discovery myself.

I don't know why I hadn't thought about it before really. After all, in my younger years I was able to make a packet of ginger nuts vanish with the aid of a cup of tea or hot chocolate. Yes, I refer to the art of dunking. A noble art that requires skill, dexterity and above all else timing. Too short and the effect is dimished, too long and the tensile strength fails.

Anyway, while Mark was mixing it with his date slice, I was dunking my flapjack into my hot chocolate. A small piece of heaven. My guidelines are to start with a quick dunk and take it slowly a small piece at a time. Eventually you'll build up to a few second dunk before you get structural failure. Keep it safe!

NB, Structure of flapjack varies, keep your eyes peeled.
