I don't like it.

After weeks and weeks of disgruntled moaning from the UK population in general (those that haven't just floated off into the sunset) and the Mountain Bike community in particular, something seems to be afoot.

Looking at this weekend's weather, the forecast appears optimistically to suggest that it's going to be a winning combination of hot and dry with just light winds to ruffle our luxuriant manes of hair (that last bit doesn't really apply to me).

It's enough to make you feel quite unnerved - I mean, how are we supposed to cope with dusty hardpack? It don't feel natural do it?

Actually, last night we took to the Hills and it was already becoming apparant how quickly the trails are drying out after just a handful of consecutively dry days, to the point where we were starting to mince round the occasional muddy patch.

If it carries on like this we'll be sun bathing on Christmas Day.

Sweet.
