In case anyone hasn't noticed, this year the 2008 demo day from Cycleworks is taking place on Sunday March 9 at Holmbury Hill. Following their tried and tested formula it consists of a 40-50 minute route that lets you try several bikes over the course of the day under the same conditions.

Last year I used it to great effect to try out a few candidates for my new bike and settled on the Orange Five. This year, I'm not immediately in the market for a new bike (the Five is just sooo good!) but I've my eye on a couple of bikes to try.

Chalk and cheese springs to mind. I fancy a spin out on the Intense 6.6 which is bound to be worth the effort. Plus, the steel framed Orange Prestige looks an intriguing prospect worthy of investigation, being lighter than a P7 and probably a touch more flexy. Perfect for a spry young thing like myself (haha!).

There's also the opportunity to try the Specialized Enduro which will get quite a few people's attention I reckon.
