Afan? It's well tidy it is
About the author
Thanks to Colin's shepherding skills we're just back from our first weekend in Afan together. What a weekend! Over the next few days no doubt various Moles will publish their thoughts, pictures and videos but for starters here's my memories from the weekend.
- Our first run of the weekend down the Zigzag trail on The Wall, in all it's wibbly legged heart-in-mouth terror
- Whooping Mark's progress through the boulder field on Grand Canyon - now that was funny
- Colin's improbable speed down Sidewinder
- Mark and Simon's Welsh accents - aaarggh!
- Colin's gloves - lovely!
- The Welsh family taking their cat for a walk
- The final eyes-on-stalks, properly exhausted Peregrine Ridge/Jetlag blast on Skyline
A really, really great weekend, thanks to all those who played their part in making it an unforgetable experience.

Awesome trails. The stone drop offs on White's, the Energy Trail, the final descent of Skyline. Fantastic.
It's good to be home though. You guys were fun but my girlfriend smells a lot nicer.
Thanks to all you guys for letting me "gatecrash" your trip. I had a brilliant time, especially on the last descent of Skyline - I was "in the zone" all the way down!
AWESOME !
Thanks to the stiching coming undone, CRC have kindly taken back my very dodgy coloured Troy Lee XC Gloves.
The grey was most certainly not grey, more of a pansy gay blue, hence Matt's reference above.
So its back to boring but safe black gloves for me in order to avoid any future micky-taking.
Haha, that's a shame Colin!
I thought the 'pansy gay blue' colour was brave, but what can you do if the stitching 'comes undone' (all on it's own of course!)?
:) Have I been rumbled?
A very fortunate coincidence. I think you catch my drift.
I'm not proud of it, but hey, it wasn't until I saw the pics I realised just how bad the blue-not grey was.

I really don't know where to begin with my weekend report. So much happened, so much fun and hilarity, etc, I'm not sure where to start and how to do it justice.
The post weekend blues set in big time yesterday, as the adrenalin buzz faded.
Report and pics to follow when I've got some work done this week.
