What's the world coming to if you can't rely on Paul to be late!

No, apologies from me for slacking.

Just after we went into ranmore common I went straight on instead of taking a left as I assume you guys did to drop down to the railway crossing.

I didn't have my satmap showing old moles routes otherwise I might have noticed before I got too far down the hill.

So I carried on up wolverns lane and eventually to the tower via another route on my gps - where I bought the last two treacle tart slices (unless they had some 'under the counter') and a hot chocolate at about 10:30.

I then went over to holmbury fort and reservoir dogs way over to bkb and then climbed back up to yoghurt and that one next to it (fruit corner some guy called it), then telegraph road and then climbed back up and set off home, stopping at the bus stop at the base of balchons lane to eat the other slice of treacle tart. Then back, so about 35 miles.

GPS timing error? Well after 8:40 when we left, maybe as late as 8:40:30 :D

Or maybe PaulM was early?

I think both of the above - when I got to the car park in was about 0843 - I double checked becasue I couldn't believe it! I didn't stop but headed straight up the Admiral, so Tony probably arrived just as I had disappeared.

Now that Paul has started arriving earlier I will have to recalibrate my alarm clock settings - or drink my morning tea quicker.

My final problem, when I stopped at the Abba Zabba reservoir, was with the pad spring on the front brake. I fixed it in 5 minutes and later met Keith C just after he split from the main pack beside Polesden. Sorry about my catalogue of mechanicals this week. At least Barrie was grateful for the well earned rest from his singlespeed. ;)

 sorry Tony and John, guess my pre-ride "olympic poo" didn't take as long as usual this morning 8-)

Don't count on me being early, or even ontime everytime though :?

Jeez Tony, that's a rank run of bad luck!

JR appeared from nowhere on the way up to Ranmore, just like Paul M sometimes does when he is really late> I am sure they have a special tree they just lurk behind, ready to pop out as the Mole pack passes! ;)

Great ride today with some Naaaaaaaaaaasti climbs thrown in.
Have been soaking my poor body in the bath since 1pm, its now 9pm so ought to think about getting out as even me rubber duck has gone wrinkly! :o

Hi Kev

It certainly was eventful and not in good way! Sort of glad to get back home in one piece.

I did manage to clean the climb up to the tower - 3 times in a row now! - powered by bar-ends :D . Where it was strangely quiet. I saw only a few people on the way back too.
