Sorry I missed you Ray, I was doing the shorter route as my fitness is not great. I was worried about even completing the 74KM short route. But it went well, my plan of alternatively taking in a granola bar or Clif shot bloc every 30 min seemed to keep the energy up although the mud really sapped the legs by the end. Went round in 5h29 (4h52 moving) so was really surprised. Other plan worked well which was to keep HR below 180 which I managed except for one climb. It was a really good race as with 3 distances and start times you got strung out pretty well.
BTW - I do not know how you do the SDWIAD as the thought of going on to do double the distance!!!!!
