I had a ride earlier and took my christmas present - a ContourHD camera. I recorded several sections and now need to learn how to edit videos. Until then a sample is here with the deer out in force. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WHYbP4hHpY

By the way, I was riding on the edge of a 1in 5 hill with some adverse camber, hence the angled footage in places. I also see that I need to adjust the camera mount on the helmet.

Now you know the deer stories are all true ! ;)

Despite the dangerous deer, MarkyMark is right, it still looks like good riding out there and still pretty dry. Nice Christmas present :)

Unfortunately the conditions were pretty awful almost everywhere, this section was one of the rare ones that is holding up well and the ride itself was a tough 20 miles.

I think I have now got the camera mount correctly set on my helmet. Just using low resolution at the moment but over the coming weeks I will continue to play with video software and see what I can come up with.

In the meantime; how fast can squirrels run ? About 18mph; see segment from my sunday ride, the squirrel appears at about 5 secs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDzF5AWlbq8
