Ouch, sorry to hear that Kev :(
Having cracked a few ribs since I met the Moles, I know how uncomfortable that can be. Don't make it worse by overdoing the Co-Codamol (just ask at the next ride, I won't go into the graphic details on this forum)

Remind us which particular incident cracked the ribs? I'm getting confused with the constant reporting of falls

I remember, it looked painful at the time. Unfortunately I could not keep up with the leaders on the climb back after Yew Trees so no video. A cracked rib takes a long time heal so I wish you well.

No guts, no glory eh...
I cracked one this time last year on the trails funnily enough.. err.. not funny actually.
Like Dandy, done several ribs over the years and its a case of putting up with it.. the wonders of modern medicine..

See you soon Kev..

Still marvelling at your stealthy Strava times..!

Extra, extra sympathies, Kev, as I see it wasn't your fault but one of the numpty Moles prostrating themselves before you

We 'expert' riders take a while to adjust to this lower standard of 'club rider' dicking about on a trail. That Matt's a bad 'un, he's had me off before now, too. Whaddya mean, we were riding too close and should have been looking? ;)

I can report that something that didn't work for me for a broken rib, was carrying on riding. Apart from hurting a wee bit , it seemed to slow down the fusing process - although it still healed okay after 6 weeks and I didn't lose much fitness in the process.

Of course stacking it again - for example on Cwm Carn downhill track, 4 weeks in  probably wouldn't do you much good, so as usual, don't try this at home kids (as it turned out I hurt my shoulder more in that stack, which drew attention away from the rib)

Take it easy Kevin - don't worry mate, you should get a decent nights sleep in about a couple of months :|

Thanks for all your words of "wisdom" and war stories men.
Unfortunately, reading them all has made me laugh a lot and that 'aint good! :(

Sadly the age old method that we men employ when injured or sick (ignore it and hope it goes away) will not work in the short term so it's no "dicking about" (thanks D'Andy) on the trails or tarmac Pour Moi for a few weeks. :( :(

I will return to post more "stealthy" Strava times just to keep Karl motivated. :D
