I may be being over-optimistic but anyone out tonight for a ride?

I think it looks on the dryer side and Monday night showed the trails are not a swamp - muddy yes, swamp no. We found all the water last night on our road ride, which seems to have run off the hills and was flooding the roads to Ripley from Horsley. Rivers are looking pretty high too.

No idea on route so open to suggestions

Working sadly but I went out solo on Mon night and put together a loop that was not too bad for mud and muck. WW, tanners, badger, landrover, across the railtrack and then straight back up hi(low) med, ATTWT, down to A24 and up past Westhumble station and along the path that runs all the way along the bottom of Norbury (Druid's ?) wood, up to Norbury house and then along to and down infestation. About 2 hours.

I might (subject to a pink chit from the boss) be able to get out tonight, giving you all a chance to have a good chinwag as you wait for me at the top of each gentle incline :(

UPDATE: Pink chit denied, a dinner is planned this evening to celebrate the prodigal son's return

To be honest Mark it's a bit far on a night ride unless we go along the top which means mud and a fairly dull ride.

I quite fancy Lloyd's basic idea, with a couple of extra bits on the way back. Monday was nowhere near as muddy as you'd think and it must have dried a bit more since then. Expect patches of sticky mud rather than lots of wet puddles.
