Muddymoles custom shirt teaser

Well, this has been a long time coming but I couldn’t resist a quick teaser shot of our new ride jerseys which are about to enter production.

Muddymoles 2010 custom shirt teaser

We’ve meant to do this for years but it takes more than you’d think to come up with a shirt design that everyone is happy with. After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing and the use of a pub on occasion the collective opinion settled on some of what you see here. And I think we’ve got it about right (there’s a larger pic on Flickr).

These are custom shirts produced by Endura and are only available so far for our regular riders. Orders are currently closed for anyone else, partly because this was a shot in the dark, partly because we have no idea if there’s a potential demand for this sort of thing or not and partly because we had to stump up money up-front!

Hopefully what we learn from this we might enable us to offer other shirts in the future. I already have several Surrey Hills themed T-shirts in mind.

As you can see, it’s chocolate with an ice-blue accent for us this year. I say this year, because my intention is to update and revise the design year-on-year. The mole paw prints were custom drawn by me and took an age to get right as I kept managing to come up with something that looked like a shuttlecock! Not the look I wanted.

From what I’ve seen so far though, Endura have managed to translate our original design pretty accurately even if DaveC and I were a bit stressed trying to gauge the correct Pantone colours for printing! Deliveries are still some way off but in the next 6 weeks or so you might see some of these out on the trails. Say hello when you do!

Or at least, try not to laugh when you see a large group of similarly attired men riding toward you en masse!

Now, over to you…

Best ride in pairs, as other mtb’ers will be mugging you to rip these beauties off your back as you ride. The Surrey Hills are set to be overwhelmed by a ‘magnificence’ of Moles.

Must be my screen set up, but do I detect a tinge of pink!

Very funny Keith! I wouldn’t do that to you, honest! Although a charcoal and baby pink version might look pretty cool…

I actually took the pic around sunset so I think the lighting is a little warm.

Mmmm. Now I can’t stop singing Shanks & Bigfoot’s ‘Sweet Like Chocolate’!

Now what colour shorts and socks would complement that top….
