Pre-Ride Report: Fri 20 March – Holmbury and Pitch Hills

What’s this, a ride report before the ride! Have I taken leave of my senses? No, but the sun is shining, the trails are sublime and I’m like a dog with two dicks in anticipation of another blast tonight, along with a nice pint afterwards. What a nice change from a post ride energy bar!

A glance at Upcoming would show only 2 attendees but (dig dig) if we all used it properly (and it really is worth us making the effort so it shows a more accurate picture – dig dig), the roll call is actually Jem, Tony, Lee, Matt, Mark, Rob and myself. Plus any other casual observers who may spring up on the night.

I never doubted his attendance for one minute, but nevertheless, Matt has managed to work miracles and sort out child care arrangements, leaving Sunday ride-free and the chance for us all to rack up some Brownie Points.

Now, over to you…

I’m sitting here “working from home” today just contemplating whether I can sneak out for an hour at lunchtime too…..no mustn’t…..no mustn’t

Have a good one guys, I’m outta here. Snow is calling so I’m off for some alpine fun with a week’s skiing.

See you in a week or so.

  3. Matt says:

My wife will dispute the ‘working miracles’ bit. More like got in the way of her plans for a girls night out. Fortunately my sister is stepping in with babysitting duties but my wife will still be ‘fashionably late’ to her do. Which puts me in the do-do too.

But as Colin points out, how can you not go out riding tonight?

Look forward to seeing everyone later and kudos to Colin for driving, rounding up the troops, writing an article and pointing out that if we used Upcoming we’d all know what each of us is up to. Even if you can’t make it, you can leave comments on the event to let people know.

Jez, have a good one and in light of this weeks events stay safe. Tony – ‘working from home’?&hellip git!!!

  4. Toby says:

Hope the ride went well; I’m riding with a few people on Sunday if anyone wants to come out – 10am start and into the afternoon. Mail me at mudshark@bikerider.com
