Connicut Lane is now cleared again :) That mahoosive tree that was forcing us into a detour over the fence has been chainsawed up into smaller pieces, these are now lying on the other side of the fence.

Rode over at Swinley Saturday.

Quite a large chunk of the blue is closed and tank traps on the red is also closed.

Other parts of the red after post 12 I think are shut, on the way up to the reservoir. Did not do Labyrinth and beyond.

Seems to be repairing due to flood damage.

Picked this up from Facebook,
Quote:
We got told off by the land owner at the bottom of Evian and he said he is going to be shutting down the trails on his land. He was pretty easy going though and explained that he was concerned about being sued by injured riders
That will be a disaster if he does that :(

Rip van Winkle now clear again and running nicely; and as it was dry I risked the up 'n over bank at the end and successfully negotiated it :)

Flinty Badman was running nicely, too. It has been extended and now has some uphill/pedally sections. Still two small jumps at the beginning. First can be rolled if you stay on the right hand side, second is a small-ish drop over a fallen tree. Not too difficult if you've been "Jedi'd" ;)

BBD is blocked again, by several fallen trees on the lower half.

The top half to the fire road crossing is fine. But there must have been a hell of a wind last week, because there are dozens of fallen trees, which take an extensive detour to walk around.

That must have been some heavy duty clearing.

Kudos to the Pixies.

Be aware of an 'obstruction' I found on 'View to a kill/Bat run'. Not deliberately blocked, but the remains of an old iron fence, cut off at the ground but protruding about 10cm out of the ground .... enough to have me over the bars when the front wheel of the rigid-forked 'dale hit it square on
I obviously had drifted a little to the right-hand sized of the path as I lined up the corner, but it was a tad unexpected as my forehead hit the ground as I sailed over the bars still clipped in, knocking the detachable peak off my helmet
See pics below for details.

Also, the 'Sawmill' trail has more trees down at the start as the landowner tries to deter cyclists from using it. It's still rideable, just a few more trees to negotiate first
